Simple Avocado Toast
This quick and simple recipe makes a great breakfast. Avocados are a great source of protein and healthy fat to keep you satiated until lunch.
Ingredients
- Gluten-free 100% wholegrain bread
- ½ a ripe avocado
- 1 tsp chia seeds
- a pinch of cumin
- a splash of fresh lemon juice
- (OPTIONAL): Himalayan salt and cayenne pepper to taste
Instructions
- Toast your bread to desired texture.
- Mash the avocado on top with a fork, sprinkle the chia seeds, cumin, lemon juice and if desired a little salt and pepper.
- Place mash on top of toast and enjoy.
Notes
You can then dress up your avocado toast with any vegetables of your choice. Some of my favorites are: sprouts, microgreens, kale, chickpeas, broiled asparagus, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, and cucumber.
