Simple Avocado Toast

This quick and simple recipe makes a great breakfast. Avocados are a great source of protein and healthy fat to keep you satiated until lunch.

Ingredients
  

  • Gluten-free 100% wholegrain bread
  • ½ a ripe avocado
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • a pinch of cumin
  • a splash of fresh lemon juice
  • (OPTIONAL): Himalayan salt and cayenne pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Toast your bread to desired texture.
  • Mash the avocado on top with a fork, sprinkle the chia seeds, cumin, lemon juice and if desired a little salt and pepper.
  • Place mash on top of toast and enjoy.

Notes

You can then dress up your avocado toast with any vegetables of your choice. Some of my favorites are: sprouts, microgreens, kale, chickpeas, broiled asparagus, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, and cucumber.
