Decadent Chocolexir Smoothie
Our chocolate lover friends told us that this smoothie reminds them of Godiva’s Decadence Chocolexir. This is a healthy breakfast but can also be a decadent midday treat or dessert on date night as a pre-sex smoothie.
It has potassium-rich banana as well as polyphenol-rich blueberries, nitrate-rich leafy greens, superfood maca and chocolate from Zenberry Greens and pomegranate seeds. It is said that Aphrodite, herself, planted the Pomegranate tree giving it the attributes of sensuality, fertility and eroticism. (side note: Did you know that Pomegranates improve erectile dysfunction in diabetics and reduce prostate enlargement?).
In addition, we added two boosters:
1/ a serving of super mushrooms which boosts all markers of health and sexual function and,
2/ a dose of collagen for beauty (choose pastured cattle or wild-caught fish if choosing a non-vegan source).
This tasty smoothie will make for blood vessels dilation and optimal flow delivery to our genitals, increase sensitivity of our nervous system and balance our hormones. Enjoy this decadent and healthy smoothie without sugar and chemicals added and what ensues…. The real Godiva Chocolexir would work quite the opposite effect with its sugar and dairy overload stiffening your arteries, decreasing nerve sensitivity, wrecking havoc your blood sugar levels and worsening diabetes (which diminishes sexual function).
- 2 cups coconut water
- 1/2 cup pomegranate seeds
- 1/2 cup frozen pomegranates
- 1 frozen banana
- 2 TBSP flax seeds
- 2 TBSP Zenberry Greens (zenberrymix.com)
- 1 extra TBSP unsweetened raw cacao (I used the same one used in Zenberry or cacao nibs for an extra dark chocolate flavor)
Boosters
- 1/2 TSP mushroom powder
- 1 TBSP collagen powder
Optional toppings for the dessert option:
- Oats or Coconut whipped cream topping
- Cacao nibs
- Toasted coconut shavings
- Blend all ingredients in a blender. Top with the optional toppings to impress.
