Ingredients

For the dish

  • 2 cups French beans (green beans)
  • 1-2 garlic cloves, finely minced
  • 1 TSP of lemon rind
  • 1 inch ginger root grated
  • 2 TBSP slivered raw almonds
  • 1 or 2 TBSP lemon juice
  • 1 TBSP extra virgin olive oil
  • a little sea salt for the boiling water

Method

Preparing the dish

Boil the beans in salty water until crisp-tender about 5 min.

Meanwhile saute the garlic in the olive oil.

Transfer the beans to the pan and rapidly stir in the lemon rind, grated ginger root.

Add the lemon juice and then transfer to a plate.

Sprinkle the slivered almonds and serve warm.
