Sun Salutations - 12 steps

Video filmed on Day 5 of my Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh, India. Surya Namaskara (Sun Salutation) is a complete morning practice which combines movement (asana), breathing (pranayama), mantra and meditation. It is an effective way of loosening up, stretching, massaging and toning all the joints, muscles and internal organs of the body. It is a great way to prepare for an active and productive day, while calming your mind. It presents several contra-indications and can be modified to suit your needs. Ask me! It will be part of our morning practice during the 10-Day Gourmet Detox and I will teach you the poses step by step, live over the internet. Note, this routine comprises 12 steps. There is another routine made of 17 steps which I will tell you all about in next Friday's Video Blog.
